Although photo retouching has given this software its name, Photoshop does much more as the standard image-editing software for creative professionals. From compositing images to collaging diverse materials, and from coloring black and white photos to employing text effects, the possibilities are endless. After learning basic tools and features, participants will move onto advanced features to enhance independent study and future coursework. Prerequisite: None.
Instructor: Jonathan Hill
Jonathan Hill is a cartoonist in Portland, OR whose comics have appeared in publications by Fantagraphics Books, Image Comics, Dark Horse, Roar Comics, and First Second Books. He is currently working on two books, one for Oni Press and another for First Second. His comic ‘Jeremiah’ was selected as part of the Society of Illustrators Comic and Cartoon Annual 2016. He teaches comics at PNCA, OCAC, and Literary Arts, where he also serves on the Writers in the Schools advisory council.
