Web User Experience Design
Students can expect to get an introduction to building functional prototypes of web properties and developing user experiences across multiple devices types. Additionally, students will be exposed to the basic language of web development to better communicate with potential clients as well as developers who will realize their designs. Throughout the class we will look at examples of good and bad user experiences, focusing specifically on how those experiences should and should not change across different device types and how the input method (mouse v touch) changes the experiences we build. Significant time will be devoted to exploring how different devices are used in different situations, expanding on the lean-in vs lean-back concept. Prerequisites: Intro to Graphic Design.
