CANCEL: Illustration II
Take your image making skills and develop a uniquely personal vision for your illustration practice. Explore opportunities that bring together the demands of the commercial marketplace and the highly personal process of your creative practice. We will work on a variety of projects and informed by the intersecting and sometimes divergent needs of audience, client, art direction and budget/time constraints. Class projects will focus on creating highly dynamic symbols, icons and metaphors. Expect to work in traditional and digital media and to develop material for your portfolio. Prerequisite: Illustration I; Illustrator or Photoshop Tools or equivalent.
Instructor: Phoenix McNamara
Phoenix McNamara is a multidisciplinary artist with an unrepentant love of glitter. She is a graduate of the MFA of Applied Craft+Design from PNCA/OCAC and holds a BFA in Illustration from the Maine College of Art. McNamara is proud to teach in both the Continuing Education and BFA Design Arts departments at PNCA.
