This class is perfect for people who want to acquire foundation techniques needed to produce realistic work. Demonstrations and lectures will cover how to mix colors, create depth and a feeling of light, and use brushwork and varying paint applications to convey atmosphere. Class time is equally focused on studio practice and group learning.
You can expect to walk away from this course with an awareness of how to plan a painting; knowledge about value, hue, and chroma; mix paint and manage your palette; control your brushwork, and how to “turn” form.
