Through painting, participants explore visual language and refine personal direction and critical vocabulary. Driven by studio work, critiques, reading and writing, participants have the opportunity to combine historic and contemporary references with focused, self-directed expression, articulating ideas and contextual theories through refined critical self-analysis. Students will look at practical issues relevant to painting within contemporary art. This course is designed for students who are at the intermediate or advanced level.
