Textile Drawing, Design and Printing
Though a series of exercises in drawing and painting from observation, students will begin the process of developing imagery suitable for textile applications and how to translate them to screenprinting. Students will learn through painting and drawing processes, studying color and form relationships and how to print them. Throughout the class, we will look at examples from the history of surface design and utilize creative approaches to create patterns. This class is ideal for those who want a completely hands-on approach to designing patterns for textiles. (This class has changed from Tuesdays, as printed in the catalog, to Wednesday nights).
