This studio class introduces young adults to the basic techniques of painting. Emphasis will be placed on interpreting what one sees into a believable image on canvas. Concentrating on representational painting students will practice foundational techniques for building a painting, from under- painting and glazing to wet-on wet approaches. Students will practice rendering light and shade with harmonious color, while also increasing their draughtsmanship and composition skills.
