smARTworks 7-9: Art + Design
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this class will move to an online format.
For the final week of smARTworks, students will learn about how design influences many parts of our daily life. They will focus on the elements of design like composition, line, shape, value, texture, and color to create our projects. Some projects include collaged cardboard paintings, found object mobiles, band/movie posters, and abstract paper sculptures. They will take inspiration from artists and designers, as they create unique artworks that reimagine our world. By the end of the week, students will have an understanding of design and the inspiration to continue working in a variety of art mediums.
